Since the early days of the HIV epidemic, the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) has been providing quality healthcare to HIV-infected individuals through a comprehensive system of care that includes: clinical, oral health, case management, laboratory services, medications via the AIDS Drugs Assistance Program and many collaborative agreements with specialists in the community. Most recently, we have added mental health, women’s health, Hepatitis C treatment, and dermatology services.
We provide care to patients eligible for the Ryan White Act, those on Medicaid or Medicaid Managed-Care Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) like Simply Healthcare, WellCare, Medicare, and Hillsborough County Healthcare Plan (HCHCP). Some private health insurances including some under the Affordable Care Act.
