The Community Dental Health Program provides dental services for qualifying men, women, and children in Hillsborough County. The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough (DOH-Hillsborough) partners with Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. to provide general dentistry services to the public.

Who qualifies for the program?

Clients seeking services through Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. who are: 

  • Low income uninsured and under-insured children and adults living in Hillsborough County; OR
  • Low income individuals whose Medicaid plans do not cover basic dental services.

  • Dental health education
  • Cleanings

  • Fluoride treatments
  • Extractions
  • Limited restorative work
  • Referrals to a specialized dentist for extra care
Where can I access the services?

Services are provided through Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. mobile buses or brick and mortar clinics.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Appointments are not required, but you can call 813-653-6100 to find the location nearest you and schedule a date for services. Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and worked in between scheduled clients.

Is the service free?

You may qualify for free services. Service fees are based on the Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. sliding fee scale; you may be responsible for a portion of your visit fees.
