The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) is responsible for the surveillance of reportable communicable diseases, other than TB, STD, and HIV/AIDS, including enteric diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases, invasive bacterial diseases, arthropod-borne diseases, and other diseases.
Through our various programs designed to protect the residents and visitors of Hillsborough County, we are dedicated to staying focused on prevention and treatment of infectious diseases that are occurring or that may occur in our county.
Disease Reporting Information
Health care and laboratory providers are required to report conditions of public health importance to the Florida Department of Heath.
Community Event Request
If your group or organization would like the DOH-Hillsborough Disease Control Unit to provide services at a community or business event, please complete our Disease Control Community Event Form and return it to the email or fax number listed on the form. Upon receipt, we will follow up with the appropriate party.
