The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) continues to respond to the ongoing dengue outbreak in Hillsborough County.

DOH-Hillsborough continues to conduct investigations and surveillance, connect patients to care, provide education, and collaborate with partners. This remains a coordinated effort among public health agencies, mosquito management, local and state government, health and medical systems, universities, and community organizations all working together to protect residents and prevent further transmission.

Residents are encouraged to take steps to reduce mosquito exposure by using insect repellent covering your arms and legs with loose, long-sleeved clothing, and draining standing water. Individuals with symptoms of fever, chills, sweats, nausea/vomiting, and headache who recently bit by a mosquito should seek medical attention.
