Indoor Air Quality
Environmental Public Health
The quality of indoor air can, at times, be much worse than that of outdoor air. Due to the extended amounts of time many individuals spend inside, this poor air quality might result in increased risks to health. Listed below are some common areas of concern encountered by Florida Department of Health - Hillsborough County regarding indoor air quality. See the links below for helpful information on the sources, health effects, and prevention of indoor air pollution.
Currently there are no federal or state regulations concerning residential indoor air quality. While Florida Department of Health - Hillsborough County does not perform indoor air testing (including mold testing), please feel free to contact us with any questions that you might have.
