Child Abuse and Death Review Committee (CADR)

Florida Department of Health - Hillsborough County

The CADR works to eliminate preventable child abuse and neglect deaths in Hillsborough County. The committee examines each case of child death on an individual basis. Understanding the causes and circumstances of these deaths can help prevent future deaths.

CADR activities:

  • Identify gaps within the services that help prevent child deaths
  • Find ways for the community to work together to address these gaps
  • Come up with recommendations for changes in laws, rules and policies that prevent child deaths
