WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care.

WIC is available to pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women; infants, and children under 5 years of age. Fathers are welcomed to bring their children to apply for WIC. Legal guardians and/or foster parents of children under the age of 5 may apply for WIC services on behalf of their child.

Participants must also be at nutrition risk. The assessment of nutrition risk is made by a Nutritionist of other health professional at the WIC office, at no cost to the client.

To be eligible for the WIC program a family’s gross income must not exceed the amounts listed in the WIC Income Guidelines, OR you are income-eligible if you are currently receiving Medicaid, Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), or Food Assistance. However, you do not have to be on a public assistance program to qualify for WIC. Use the WIC Prescreening Tool to see if you might be eligible for WIC.

For more information, please call (813) 307-8074 or email us for more info.
