National Nutrition Month® 2022 is Celebrate a World of Flavors
March 10, 2022
The theme of National Nutrition Month® 2022 is Celebrate a World of Flavors. From the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, “Celebrating flavors from cultures around the world is a tasty way to nourish ourselves and appreciate our diversity. We are all unique with different bodies, goals, backgrounds and tastes! A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist can help you create healthy habits that celebrate your heritage and introduce you to new foods and flavors.”
This March, take time to “Celebrate” by learning how to cook some of your favorite meals using healthy ingredients, and consider trying some new recipes from different cultures. Speak to a Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist for help and tips on what else you can do to stay healthy. The Health Department offers nutrition and wellness programs for the community, staff, and their family members, including Diabetes Prevention, Diabetes Management, Blood Pressure Education and Management, GIFT (Weight Management/Wellness) and GIFT- LEAP (for kids). All are no cost and most can be offered virtually.
